Angelina (Lina) Gagliardi

1932 - 2024

Angelina (Lina) Gagliardi of London ON., died peacefully in the long term care of Hornepayne ON., with her family by her side.  Loving wife of Mario Gagliardi (predeceased) and cherished mother of Filomena (Ghislain), Franco (Liz), Giuseppe (Kerri) and Antonio (Julie).  Devoted Nonna to Renee (Dan), Melanie (James), Greg (Paige), Chris (Susie), Hailie (Josh), Hollie, Brad (Madison), Jonathan, Eric (Samantha) and Matthew.  Adored great Nonna to Xander, Xane, Harper, Gianna, William, Erilyn, Westley, Nico, Reid and Luca.  Survived by sister Ida Perfetti (Carlo) of Italy, brothers Mario Cassano (Ida) of Toronto On, and Vincenzo Cassano (Maria Theresa) of Italy. Predeceased by brothers Pasquale and Michele, sisters Teresa and Emma. Predeceased by nephews Joe and Jimmy whom she adored. Lina is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Lina immigrated to Canada from Italy with two of her children Filomena and Franco, to Hornepayne ON., where her husband Mario was working at CN.  She worked many years in the Hallmark center there, until her retirement. She moved to London, ON. in 1995 and called it home for 26 years.  Lina was always busy and loved gardening, making wine (which she would often sip), making spaghetti sauce and homemade sausage. She enjoyed cooking and was a master chef!

A heartfelt thank you to the PSW’s, the nursing staff and Dr. Cameron in the long term care unit in Hornepayne On.  Inurnment at St. Peter's Cemetery in London, ON. at a later date.

The service for Lina will be held on July 11th, 2024 at 10 : 30 A.M. at the Holy Name of Jesus Church in Hornepayne, ON.
